Torrontés has spent six months ageing before being bottled, and a further three months ageing in bottle – lending it rounded tropical fruit flavours.
Grown in Argentina’s Cafayate Valley, the torrontés grapes stand out for their fruitiness, creating a wine with balanced acidity and clean flavours of chamomile and some citrus.
The high-altitude vines in Argentina’s Cafayate Valley experienced a cold winter, a mild spring and a pleasant summer. The torrontés grapes were delicately aromatic, with excellent concentration and freshness, and the wine was aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with occasional bâtonnage – stirring of the lees – to encourage a complex texture.
