Barrel Rested Winterville Gin, or “Gin Music” if you will, sat for 7 months inside a barrel which previously aged Fiddler Chin Music Bourbon. Distiller of Clear Spirits, Jerry McCall, reformulated the botanical recipe to accentuate the flavors a barrel provides. The new recipe, as well as the addition of white oak staves into the barrel, highlights the oak flavors, even making the barrel a botanical in its own right.
Keeping with Winterville’s signature juniper, citrus, and floral backbone, the addition of allspice, sage, lemon verbena, and Kenyan coffee creates baking spice and herbal notes, which are all delicately interlaid with sweet oak character. The flavors make this perfect for whiskey and gin lovers, and can even unite the two.
90 bottles at approximately 104.5 proof and signed by Jerry are available now for pre-sale. This new product pairs nicely with past Chin Music releases, so at checkout you can add a hand-crafted flight board made from a Chin Music barrel stave.
